About My Classes
About My Classes: An Eclectic Blend of Hatha Yoga and Somatic Movement
My intention is to offer guidance on ways to unravel from stress, anxiety, dysfunctional breathing, and habitual movement patterns. Through conscious practices—yoga, somatic movement, breathwork, and nervous system regulation—we find a path back to ease and balance.
During my classes I offer my unique blend of Hatha Yoga and Somatic Movement
Rather than focusing solely on the performative aspects of movement, I invite you to sense, feel, and experience each motion in your body. Classes are not about striving for perfection, pushing your flexibility, or creating an external shape or posture, but rather about cultivating awareness and connection with your own body. It’s an invitation to enter a space where you can truly tune into your body’s wisdom and allow yourself to explore movement.
Somatics has opened a new dimension in my movement practice. I now view, sense, and feel yoga through a more attuned and conscious lens. I’m truly grateful for these teachings, and this perspective allows me to offer something beyond mainstream yoga. My classes are inclusive, accessible, and sustainable for everybody. I encourage an embodied practice that unfolds intuitively and organically – crafted to bring you into deep states of relaxation.
Over time, conscious and unconscious tension can accumulate in our bodies due to a vast array of stressors. Modern life, with its emphasis on doing, achieving, and being productive can often disconnect us from the natural rhythms of our bodies. In my classes, we focus on finding ways to reset, recalibrate, and reconnect with our own body’s intelligence — a natural, restorative process that is often overlooked in today’s fast-paced world.
The Benefits
Whether you’re new to yoga or have a long-standing practice, you’ll find a space in my class that encourages you to come as you are, to relax, to dis-amour and rediscover the freedom of movement that feels right for you.
The long-term benefits of attending regular classes:
Improved Mobility & Neuromuscular Repatterning
Gentle, controlled movements help release chronic muscular tension, increasing range of motion. Also helps to retrain habitual movement patterns to promote more efficient and pain-free motion.
Better Posture & Body Awareness
Enhances awareness of body alignment, encouraging natural and sustainable posture over time.
Regulated Nervous System
Slow, mindful movements activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body shift out of stress-response mode and re-wiring your bodies response to stress – long term and short term.
Stress Relief & Mindfulness
The practice calms the mind, cultivating a deeper sense of awareness – easing anxiety and reducing the physiological effects of stress.
Emotional Resilience
Helps access and process stored emotions that may be held in the body, fostering emotional healing and resilience. With less physical tension and mental noise, focus and clarity naturally improve.
My clients often refer to my classes as being the highlight of their week.
Please note: 1-to-1 appointments are available upon request for those seeking a more individual, somatic-based approach.
This allows for tailored support, deeper connection, and space to explore your unique needs at your own pace.
Testimonials
"Safe & welcoming"
I’ve practised Hatha and Vinyasa yoga over the years, but what Tara’s class offers something different — it’s a mix of mindful movement, breathing, and deep listening. I leave each session feeling more in tune with my mind and body. Whether you’re dealing with stress, recovering from burnout, or just looking to reconnect with yourself, I can’t recommend Tara’s classes enough. She creates a safe, welcoming environment — no pressure, no ego, just a wonderful teacher.

"I'd be lost without it"
I have been a part of Tara’s weekly classes for a few years and can honestly say I’d be lost without it. Tara is a calm force. Her precision guidance and broad knowledge of the body (“parts and pieces”) along with the soothing balm of her spiritual Shavasana, set me back on the right path. Thank you, Tara

"Mind, body & spirit"
I can best sum up the effects of attending Tara’s bespoke yoga and somatic classes in one sentence. The promotion of health and growth of mind, body, and spirit, within a social, warm, and caring environment.
It is said that actions speak louder than words. Well, I have been attending Tara’s classes three times a week since the beginning and I wouldn’t miss them for the world – I think that this is the loudest message I can give.

‘La Bella Retreat’
September 19th – 25th 2027
Join me and escape to the Italian countryside, only an hour from Rome, where rolling hills and ancient olive groves offer the perfect setting for rest, reconnection, and renewal. Having lived in Italy in my early 20’s, it really holds a special place in my heart, and it has always been my dream to combine Italian culture with Yoga. Many of you know I have been talking and planning for years, and finally after extensive research I have found the perfect purpose-built venue. Our home for the week is a beautifully restored estate made up of two traditional farmhouses, offering 8 bedrooms and additional luxury outdoor accommodation, plus a World-Renowned Outdoor Yoga Platform (150m²) with breathtaking views (there is also an Indoor Yoga Shala).
